My Two Most Popular Talks
(combo them for a Parish Mission)
Bible 101: A Crash Course in Scripture
Have you ever found the Bible confusing or disjointed or just plain weird? This is the talk for you. Using the theme of covenant Katie breaks the Bible down into six bite-sized chunks that are understandable and easy to remember. Truly a crash course and consistently one of Katie's most popular talks, audiences walk away wowed by an inner logic in Scripture they had no idea existed and a profound sense of their own crucial role in the story of salvation. This is the Bible like you've never heard it before.
For thousands of years, Christians have referred to the Holy Land as the fifth gospel and since the earliest days of our faith they have venerated the sites where Jesus lived, preached, died, and rose from the dead. This visually rich presentation will trace the final hours of Jesus’ life in and around Jerusalem from the Last Supper to Our Lord’s death on the cross. Exploring photographs, archaeological remains, and digital renderings, we will walk in His footsteps and enter more fully into the drama of His final days.
This talk is extraordinarily popular and one of my favorites to give, especially during Lent. I’ve delivered it to parishes, OCIAs, Legatus groups, and EOHSJ Chapters (Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem).
Note: This talk will require a projector as the talk requires so many photos and diagrams I simply can't give it without.

Bible Courses
OFFERINGS
THE OLD TESTAMENT
The Old Testament is a six-session course that provides an in-depth but introductory survey of the Old Testament by way of the covenants, linking them to one another to form a coherent narrative while also tying them in with the New Testament covenant formed by Christ.
THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW
The Gospel of Matthew is a five-session course formed around the five “books” or sections of Matthew identified by Bible scholars. Each books contains both “words” and “deeds” of Christ, narrating his life and message through to his Passion and Resurrection.
THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES
The Acts of the Apostles is a four-session course that looks at the life of the early Church after the Ascension of Christ. An often-overlooked historical book, this course offers a Biblical basis for many Church practices and helps students understand the continuity between Christ and Catholicism while focusing on the central figures of Peter and Paul
This list is not exhaustive and I’m happy to tailor a talk to your specific needs!
